Sparrow
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Sparrow. They set out what we provide, what we expect from you, and where responsibility sits — particularly for the messages you send.
Last updated 4 September 2026
Acceptance
By creating a Sparrow account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that business.
Sparrow is operated by The Sketch Agency for Designs. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
Eligibility and business use
Sparrow is provided for business use. You must be able to form a binding contract, and you must not use Sparrow if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or under Meta’s terms.
Accounts and workspaces
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything done under your account.
- A workspace belongs to the business that created it. The owner controls who has access and what role they hold.
- You are responsible for the members you invite, and for removing access when someone leaves.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Subscriptions, trials and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout, through the payment provider available for your account.
- A trial, where offered, runs for the period stated when it starts and gives access to the features described at that time.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise, and you are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
- Meta charges separately for WhatsApp messaging. Those charges are between you and Meta, and are billed to the payment method on your own WhatsApp Business Account.
- If a payment fails we may restrict or suspend paid features until it is resolved.
Acceptable use
You must not use Sparrow to:
- send unsolicited messages, bulk messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or anything that would be considered spam;
- message anyone who has opted out, or evade an opt-out;
- impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent who is messaging;
- send unlawful, deceptive, harassing, hateful or abusive content, or content that infringes someone else's rights;
- attempt to breach, probe or degrade the service, or to reach another customer's workspace or data;
- reverse engineer the service, or resell it as your own without our written agreement;
- circumvent rate limits, quality controls or any measure we use to protect the platform.
WhatsApp and Meta obligations
Using Sparrow to message on WhatsApp means you are also using Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, and you must comply with Meta’s terms and policies — including the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and the WhatsApp Commerce Policy.
You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account and phone number, and you remain responsible for them: their standing, their quality rating, their messaging limits and any action Meta takes in respect of them. Meta may restrict or disable your account independently of us, and we cannot overrule that.
Consent and messaging responsibility
This is your responsibility, not ours
You decide who to message. You must have a valid basis for contacting each recipient, keep a record of it, and honour opt-out requests promptly. Sparrow provides suppression and opt-out handling as a tool; using it correctly is up to you.
You are responsible for the content of your messages, for the accuracy of the contact data you upload, and for having the right to use it.
Templates and campaigns
Message templates are submitted to Meta for review and are approved, rejected or paused by Meta, not by Sparrow. We surface the outcome; we do not control it.
You are responsible for the content of every template and campaign you create, for targeting them at people entitled to receive them, and for complying with the categories and rules Meta applies.
AI-assisted features
Where you enable them, Sparrow’s AI features can summarise conversations, suggest replies and — if you turn it on — reply automatically within limits you set.
AI output is not guaranteed to be correct
AI-generated text can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate for the situation. You remain responsible for what is sent from your account, whether a person or an automation sent it. Review the settings, keep a human in the loop where it matters, and do not rely on AI output for advice that requires professional judgement.
Content you send to AI features is processed by our model provider in order to produce the response you asked for. You control which features are enabled and what business knowledge you provide.
Third-party services
Sparrow depends on services operated by others, including Meta, our hosting and database providers, our email provider and our payment providers. Their availability and behaviour are outside our control, and their terms govern your use of them where you deal with them directly.
Service availability
We work to keep Sparrow available and to give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment, and the service may be interrupted by maintenance, provider outages or events outside our control.
Intellectual property
Sparrow — the software, its design, and our trademarks — remains ours. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing, and nothing more.
Your data
Your data stays yours. Your contacts, conversations, message content, templates and campaign records belong to you, and we process them to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your customers’ conversation content to advertise. You may export data available through the product, and you may ask us to delete it.
Confidentiality and security
We apply the security measures described in the Privacy Policy, including workspace isolation enforced in the database and encrypted storage of the credentials that let Sparrow act on your behalf.
You are responsible for your side: strong credentials, appropriate roles, and prompt removal of access. Tell us without delay if you suspect unauthorised access.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms, where your use puts the platform or other customers at risk, where Meta requires it, or where required by law. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from Settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not by itself delete your data. To have data removed, follow the Data Deletion process.
Disclaimers and liability
Sparrow is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top reflects the current version, and we will give notice of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Sparrow after that means you accept the updated terms.
