Integrations

What connects, and what runs it.

Two different things get called “integrations”: the services you authorise and can disconnect, and the providers Sparrow itself is built on. They are listed separately, because conflating them would flatter us and tell you nothing.

Yours

What you connect.

You authorise these, they carry your business’s data, and you can disconnect them whenever you like.

WhatsApp Business Platform

Available

Your messaging channel

You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's own signup flow — Sparrow never asks for a Meta password or an access token. Once connected, your customers' messages arrive in your shared inbox, and campaigns, automations and replies send from your own business number. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.

Meta Business portfolio

Available

Where the connection lives

Your WhatsApp Business Account sits inside your own Meta business portfolio, which you own and administer. Sparrow is authorised against it and can be removed from your Meta Business settings independently of anything you do inside Sparrow.

Sparrow AI

Available

Optional, per workspace

Conversation summaries, suggested replies and — only if you switch it on — automatic replies within limits you set. Off by default, configured per workspace, and always sending from your own number. Powered by AI service providers, including OpenAI where AI-assisted features are enabled.

Ours

What Sparrow runs on.

You do not configure these and you never sign in to them, but they process data on our behalf to deliver the service — so they are named here rather than hidden.

Supabase

Available

Database, authentication and encrypted secret storage

Holds your workspace data with row-level security enforcing tenant isolation, and stores the credentials that connect your WhatsApp account, encrypted at rest and unreachable from the browser.

Vercel

Available

Application hosting

Runs and delivers the Sparrow application over HTTPS.

MyFatoorah

Available

Subscription payments

Takes payment for your Sparrow subscription where it is enabled for your account. Card details are entered on the provider's own hosted page and are never stored by Sparrow. This pays for Sparrow only — it has nothing to do with what Meta charges you for messaging.

Resend

Available

Transactional email

Sends the account emails Sparrow has to send — sign-up confirmation and password reset. Never used for your marketing.

This list changes

It reflects the providers we use today, not a permanent commitment. We update this page when it changes, and we require appropriate confidentiality and security commitments from every provider we add.

Straight answers

What Sparrow does not connect to.

None of these exist today, and none of them carry a date. When something ships it will appear in the list above with everything else that actually works.

Instagram and Messenger

Not available

Sparrow is a WhatsApp product today. It does not read or send on any other Meta channel, and the app requests no permission that would let it.

SMS and email channels

Not available

There is no SMS or email sending in Sparrow. Campaigns go out over WhatsApp only.

CRM sync

Not available

There is no two-way sync with an external CRM. Contacts come in from conversations, manual entry or CSV import, and campaign results export as CSV.

A public API

Not available

Contacts carry an API source, but there is no published, documented API for you to build against yet. Ask us if that is what you need — it helps us prioritise.

A note on WhatsApp and Meta

We are not Meta.

Sparrow is an independent platform built on the WhatsApp Business Platform. We are not Meta, we are not owned by Meta, and we are not endorsed by Meta. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

Meta charges separately for WhatsApp messaging. Those charges are between your business and Meta, billed to the payment method on your own WhatsApp Business Account — they are not part of your Sparrow subscription, and Sparrow does not add a margin to them.
